Ben Weststeijn

Ben Weststeijn is an oboist, saxophonist, and music educator. He is currently finishing up his bachelor’s degree in Music Education with a minor in Oboe Performance from Liberty University. He has prior playing experience on soprano, alto, tenor and baritone saxophone, oboe, English horn, bassoon, clarinet and percussion in Liberty University’s Wind Symphony, Symphony Orchestra, University Band, Saxophone Quartet/Quintet, Jazz Band and Afro Cuban ensemble. He has also served as the saxophone section leader for the Liberty University Marching Band. Additionally, Ben has played at various churches in both North Carolina and Virginia. He is currently serving as the Heritage High School woodwind technician. Ben has a love for music and for teaching which fuels his passion for growing students’ love of music as well.
