Medley Lovelace
Flute

Medley Lovelace is an experienced music educator and flutist dedicated to fostering both musical excellence and a lifelong love of music. Her family often jokes that she started singing before she started talking - and music has held an important place in her life ever since. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Liberty University in 2014, where she performed extensively on flute and piccolo with the Wind Symphony, Symphony Orchestra (as principal flutist), chamber ensembles, and theater and opera orchestras. During her undergraduate studies, she was the winner of Liberty University’s 2013 Concerto Competition. She completed her Master of Music Education at Liberty University in 2019 with a cognate in Performance Pedagogy, focusing on encouraging musical expression and confident musicianship.
Medley has taught private flute students since 2018. Her students have performed in the Lynchburg Youth Symphony Orchestra, participated in area band programs, earned placements in all-district bands, and have continued on to study music at the collegiate level. Above all, she loves seeing her students develop perseverance, collaboration, and confidence through the study of music —skills that extend beyond the practice room and nurture a lifelong connection to music.
Medley is an active performer in the Lynchburg area. She holds the flute 3/piccolo position with the Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra and performs regularly with local ensembles. In addition to her private studio, she teaches music and other arts-focused subjects at Timberlake Christian School.
