Sydney West

Sydney West is a composer, arranger/orchestrator, music technologist, and audio engineer specializing in film scoring, music production, and collaborative media storytelling. She holds a Master’s degree in Music Education: Performance and a Bachelor of Music in Commercial Music with an emphasis in Film Scoring. She is passionate about creating music and teaching it through an approach centered on clear communication and collaboration. She serves as an Adjunct Professor of Commercial Music at Liberty University, where she teaches Music Technology, Film Composition, Audio Engineering, and Music Notation.

As a professional composer, Sydney has created original scores for many short films, a feature film, and two of her own self-produced short films. Her technical skill set includes extensive experience with Logic Pro X, Ableton Live, Dorico Pro, Sibelius, and Finale, and she is a Pro Tools Certified Instructor (since August 2023). She is willing and ready to work in any music program to help students grow in their area of interest.
